Arkham, 1975: Jonathan Davis' father has disappeared. His tracks lead to Germany, to the Swabian-Franconian Forest where he was stationed after the Second World War. brutashell review - 'Filmed in black and white and primarily spoken in German, it is obvious that Die Farbe did not have a huge budget to work with. Effects are minimal and the cast is utterly unknown. I should point out that these are all good things, and work very much in the film's favour. There is no CGI to rely on, no name actors to carry it. Rather, the filmmakers do the unthinkable: they create a genuine atmosphere of unimaginable dread and unspeakable horror, using shadow, suggestion and rare splashes of that Nameless colour in a few select frames. In short, they did a damn good job. Die Farbe is subtle in its mounting horror, nurturing a dark dread deep in your bowels with every shot. All of the best and most stomach-turningly distressing films I’ve ever seen have come out of Germany: M, The Cabinet Of Dr. Caligari, The White Ribbon, and now this one. Leave it to the Germans. We know how to gross you out on the deepest psychological levels.
Lovecraft worshippers and devotees of German Expressionism alike, take heed: seek out and view this film at your earliest possible convenience. It’s a dark, noisome little gem that will squirm into your subconscious and lay its eggs in your sanity. Hey, not everyone gets the honour of being a host organism for the Elder Gods, you know.'
永远的东木大爷，永远的电影人！“我不知道怎么治愈“老”，但今晚你们也许应该睡在一块儿”！老不是一种病，只是生命的一种状态，正确面对即可。
一切就是那么回事儿
暮年英雄，壮心不已。九十岁高龄的东木老爷子还自导自演西部片，这本身就是一件很酷的事情，他永远都是那个最帅的牛仔。片子属于比较温情的，有点<老爷车>的意思，都是老爷子让男孩子得到成长，教会他们一些道理。边境的风景真的好美，感觉每一帧都可以用来做壁纸。
在平庸的故事里也只有老爷子可以讲出牛仔的浪漫，但是小男孩太拉垮了……
情感上无比敬佩，理性上百感交集；那个深邃、坚毅、沉稳、笃信的老牛仔，多么不愿意看他老去，无论是精神上还是形体上，但是在这部英雄迟暮的电影里，所有的担心都跃然眼前，竭尽全力难掩衰枯。老爷子的眼神开始空洞无神，行走双膀后甩，心有余而力不足的感觉惹人生怜。其实，我们不能把它看成是一部戏，这是东木叔在告诉我们，一个91岁为电影而生的老人，正在刻不容缓的为自己灵魂的钟爱做着什么……
东木暮年，让人唏嘘。希望老爷子能好好享受生活。
东木老爷爷精神可嘉，不过衷心希望这部不会是您的息影之作啊。
墨西哥男孩的演技太太太尴尬了。Eastwood终于显出老人的疲态。说说给自己留下深刻印象的几点：Monumento à la Revolución; 长耳短脚小山羊，以及同样通体雪白的幼马；Sabor a Mí.
感觉老头子有点为了在有生之年多拍点片而不得不有片就拍。
慢慢讲故事的东木老爷子，能看出确实是老了，身子有些驼了，有时候还是能看到坚毅的眼神但是难掩暮年神伤。一老头，一小孩儿，一只鸡，一段公路之旅，故事形式很老套，情结也没有多少跌宕起伏扣人心弦，简单看看不错。

3.5，知道那是东木的替身在驯马，一点都不违和。
确实不算好。“you are a real cowboy”,这种台词说给谁，都觉得耻度很大，除了90+的伊斯特伍德。&耄耋之年的公路恋爱，依然说服力Max（《牡丹花下》翻拍换成科林法瑞尔，极大影响了剧情信度）。总之看见他就高兴，五星吧。
故事很简单，也不太吸引人，东木老爷明显老了，90岁了，太厉害了
Don't teach me manners when you're in bed with my mom,where she sleep.
cowboy挽歌，骡子这次在完美的世界中运的是男孩，也是自己的往昔。老爷子对过去是无限怀念，i don’t know how to cure old,这也是他对自己的发问吧。感动，只要你还在拍片，我们就能于银幕相遇。
90多了这股子精气神真的值得赞赏，但是吧…就…真的吹不动，尤其再横向对比一下老爷车和骡子…甚至注意力经常被颤颤巍巍的老爷子带走，真的担心他站不稳再摔一跤……
老牛仔进墨记，以为会有流血大冲突的点最后都变成了有惊无险的小温柔。东木的又一部暮年自白，我不知道如何治疗衰老，男子气概什么都不是。但他最后怎么还有给自己写了个美艳墨西哥寡妇，有点好笑又有点无语。
从妈妈身边带走儿子，躲避着警察的追捕，偷了一辆车……致敬《完美的世界》！
东木真的老了，他真的不该再演了，神态动作都非常迟缓的男主实在让人不忍直视。这个故事也偏陈旧，重复，毫无吸引力的流水账。远的不说，和前年的《理查德朱维尔的悲歌》的稳准狠相比，都天壤之别。
