The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 劳模的光芒万丈，覆盖了加菲。
7.0 信仰是谎言，是真实，是逃避，是相信。片中最喜欢的还是母女这段关系。非常希望看到北野武把他和母亲的故事拍成一部电影。
妥妥的大女主戏，劳模姐以演技夺影后确实实至名归，靠个人别具一格的有趣风格建立起宗教电视网络传教布道，拥有博爱的精神，包容和尊重被传统教义排除在外的性少数群体，并让公众反思，以个人的财务隐私和性丑闻去丑化名人，取消他们一切的成就是否理性？不过剧情还是偏简单二元对立，不支持同性恋群体即反派？还是过于zz正确了
挖掘的内容过于表面了，浪费了查斯坦奥斯卡级别的表演，她不过是一个需要爱的女人，为此她努力的去拥抱所有人。
虽然剧本很差但是故事的底子很好，伪善与真善的彷徨摇摆很有意思，也展现了塔米非常复杂的层次。劳模姐演的非常非常加分！
这让我想到了王小帅的那个天才地久，无聊的故事，惊人的演技！加菲是本色出演吗？劳模姐太强大了，今天看了coad那么温馨的人，又看这么做作的！好分裂的一天！
Sooooo fucking good！Like ≪I, Tanya≫ good. Praise Jesus！ Praise the Lord！和≪老娘是谭雅≫和≪三块广告牌≫一样是度身订造的造星的大女主戏。这个人物的碧池原型只怕非常让人讨厌，但Jessica Chastain的演绎让她有一种可亲可喜的白痴似的纯真，哪怕脱离原型也无所谓了。非常喜感的基督教美国，五星推荐。当然看的时候召集一帮子同性恋抽着大麻喝着烈酒会更热闹好看。
其实片子整体一般，但每次看好莱坞传记片都会感叹化妆的神奇。

挺好的选材和想法 但是执行的跟不上 有些浪费了
四平八稳而又平庸乏味的传记片，按照惯例，突出表演，给足了男女主角表现的空间，是否过火见仁见智，劳模姐好过加菲。
劳模的表演可以的 最后一段表演太有感染力了 (虽然立刻串戏Judy) PS 加菲的脸+表演真是hard to watch
题材是有东西挖的，但剧本实在太烂，还不如拍纪录片。
考后第一场电影。中规中矩，好的地方基本都是原作剧本的内容，革命者唱歌的片段没保留，私心上有点遗憾，世界观更完整，但也没饱满到哪去，毕竟儿童电影。在翻拍里算比较差。
好坞制传记啊【yawn【越往后劳模姐越出彩，年轻戏份还有点生硬（可能是因为塞嘴里的假体过于明显？）到后来就大杀特杀了。对我来说说服力不够的大概是Tammy Faye的声音可能不够…evangelical？热情倒是够了【或许是因为我atheist【【加菲在旁边一比好弱…是连妆造都弱下去的那种程度。整体很平无甚波澜，最大功用（？）大概是把Tammy Faye这个传奇人物生平大致工整地讲出来了吧。
恭喜劳模终获小金人！电影又是阿美利卡的自我感动，幼儿园作业一般平白稚气。
5.5分。翻拍自1985年的同名，又臭又长，娃儿都看得磨皮擦痒，国配还换了配音，哆啦A梦都敢换，没救了。
在选题上比《朱迪》更胜一筹（当然仅限于学院的喜爱程度上而不是票房潜力），剪辑很差，剧情也实在不喜欢，但给劳模整容演技加一星
（加菲这个角色的确很可恶，但是真的让人讨厌不起来（对不起是我的问题…
导、演俱佳。且：Cherry Jones（Tam妈妈的扮演者）和Annette Badland（神秘博士里的Slytheen女市长和Ted Lasso里的Mae的扮演者）真不是双胞胎姐妹吗？！
