The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 对这部片子的评价很纠结，一方面觉得它没有深入去探究梅艳芳的内心世界，只是浮于表面的描写，另外一方面又被梅艳芳的真实经历所打动，观影时有时感动有时疑惑。
导演显示出处理如此传奇人物的不自信，不相信自己的影像传递的情绪，相当依赖真实影像，而导致观众不得不接受真假梅艳芳同台共戏，搬起石头砸自己的脚
感觉会拿奥斯卡最佳影片吧呵，可是看了五十分钟了一点也看不下去，好看再叫我回来改分。（达妹演技真的很单一）

男主长得太磕碜了，虽然仓鼠牙符合这个亲和力人设。达妹的故事实力诠释了什么叫即使娶个美女会鸡飞狗跳，但是仍然非美女不娶的男性心理。
从影片来讲，除了时间节点，没有可以贯通全片的线索或者说叙述动机，只讲了“她做了什么”没有讲“为什么这么做”，遗憾。演员如提线木偶般被摄影机控制，没有成长线，只有工具人。
不该拍的部分太多，女主角演技很一般，不如姐姐。
导演似乎很自知如何利用自己的舒适圈创作一个平庸但用小聪明讨喜的白男形象。当特权被大肆张扬时，表达仿佛就被蒙上了一层毛边玻璃，成为了少数人的狂欢。Jun 15, tiff
