The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 有种看了古典西部爽片的感觉，1906年的美国已经是世界第一，具有传奇的老爹逝去，带着传统的西部小子开始闯荡新世界。
有关游侠（也有说是暴徒的）比利小子传奇故事的再续写，剧情简洁紧凑，迟到的悲剧宿命终就上演。本片还原“古法酿造”，将正统西部片再一次忠实呈现，荒凉孤寂，爱与热血以及死亡，以及成长，以及躲不掉的债，皆如牛仔梦回。
从《比利小子》到《雌雄大盗》，各类西部片看了超100部，印象最深的依然是韦恩的红河路艰，依然是荡气回肠的快意恩仇，大漠生死，各向一边，世事苍凉。

不得不说，这个蒂姆布雷克和之前出演巴~~的歌谣时的风姿差不多，只是妆容变化巨大，轻灵快速的枪法，洒洒水的杀人如麻，极致了。

不废话，不矫情，不拖泥带水，就是干，太爽了
黑警柯里与萨姆匪徒一起合伙打劫银行，萨姆欲杀柯里灭口时，柯里抢走了钱袋……
喜欢这种不含任何夸张成分的西部枪战，纯写实的拍反而很有代入感。混乱的枪战哪有机会让你耍帅，哪有百发百中，哪有无限子弹。大侠挨枪子也挂，跑两步也喘，开枪也得瞄。在那种混乱的世界做个好人自力更生是最奢侈的幻想。
昔日的孤胆英雄，迟暮的不可饶恕，没有一个女性角色，可能这就是西部吧。
还可以，比利小子被放走的设定真是让西部片爱好者眼睛发亮
