The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Dear Garland: Try to lay some decent plots as groundwork then upon that elaborate on visuals, not the other way round; for instance, at any rate there were some plots, not that they were nearly as stunning as the looks by any means, for the visuals to be based upon in your Annihilation, were there not? Please stick to that formula, comprende?

3.5，加兰在制造视觉奇观上还是有一套！本质上还是在探讨男女关系和女性在男权社会中的地位问题
这部电影看完，不知道说啥。
公序良俗“邪典片”，又手握真理知识、又知晓现状问题，又有成套的隐喻体系，只拍电影是不是太屈才了？
加兰（本身就是“花环”哈）真是很会拍植物/静物那种幽静诡异的美。这部的美感似乎比湮灭更胜一筹。配乐也很加兰，风格逐渐固定突出好辩识。最后的奇观确实让人发指，有一种无法直视是慢悠悠地特写皮开肉绽。更无法直视的可能是选角：不仅男主复制出了N个，男主和女主这两个人也长得非常像，放在这样的故事里诡异感指数级增加 …
最后的最后，咱要不还是把“科幻”的标签去了吧。。
男人看着似乎各有不同，仔细看看其实都是一张面孔，男权社会代代相传，绵延不绝，只有主谋与帮凶
气质太独特了，画面和氛围也是真是好到想骂人，还创造了或许是今年最好的恐怖片段。
加兰总能做到 把饱满强烈的感受用微妙且敏感的方式藏到我的皮肤下面，然后那些感受和情绪，就像植物的嫩芽一样，从皮肤下面钻出来了
3.5 摄影牛逼 隐喻生硬 故事太弱；看到不少呼应冯提尔的地方；丽达与天鹅那段的对话让人想到茨维塔耶娃的：她等待刀尖已太久（观影时错记成这个但似乎更贴切：她已在刀尖等待太久）
