During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 题材本身为音乐剧加成不少，耐听度我觉得一般般
太好看了，太好听了！当校车司机拿过陌生语言的圣经，按照熟悉的编号告诉语言不通的游客“不用担心”时、当他们来到全纽芬兰同性恋最多的小镇时、当他们在同一个地方向不同的神祇祈祷着同一件事时、当她身为美国第一位女机长却听闻热爱的飞机变成炸弹时、当她们都有着一个消防员儿子时、当他们因一件恶性事件相遇又相爱时，我笑与泪不绝。而当他们改变着装、饮下尖叫、亲吻鳕鱼时，纽芬兰瞬间升起了太阳。

人类在遇到遭遇苦恼的另一批人的时候，是会选择善良对待，还是像b站911视频里那些带着仇恨的人一样呢？我选择相信世间的爱，这和圣经的章节一样，希望是能永远不变的。
非常感谢我豆瓣上并没有关注的丹丹丹推荐此片，她是多么了解我啊，作为基督徒、素食者、关心动物、崇尚利他主义的人，怎么可能不一边抽泣一边激动地敲下这些赞美呢？
前边半个小时是零碎着看完的，所以感受不是很强，后面的部分，感觉慢慢好了。我觉得音乐蛮棒的，灯光运用也恰当好处，在有限场地上，人物的安排、运动都挺好。让我感触的不是所宣扬的人性善，而是人生的世事无常。相遇、离开，得到、失去，一切都变了，一切好像又没有变化。“Something's over, somthing's done, something's missing, something's changed, something's rearranged, something’s strained, something's lost, something's not”，所以我特别喜欢最后一切结束后那一段众人的表演。
在英国看过他们的版本的，跟这个气质不同，但是同样有趣

戲劇節奏太好了，內容也很豐富，有溫情有恐懼有隔閡有反思，不同的人可以看到不同的東西。
好好看。很温馨，剧情、人物、场景真的都编排得太好了。我从二十分钟开始就一直处于要哭不哭的状态，但笑点很好地中和了情绪。
它在有限的演员身上安放两三个角色，配合简单的道具，从而塑造不同的群像，搭建出丰富的场景，但又并不让观众觉得混乱，很多简单的转场效果极佳。
灾难来临前的鸡毛蒜皮是生活的全部，人们活得恍恍惚惚、显得单纯幼稚。一旦灾难过境，人的善良、乐观和坚韧又常常爆发出惊人的能量。纽芬兰的这个小镇恰是如此。
很巧妙的剧情和舞台设计，有很多戳泪点的地方。虽然是20年前发生的事情，在20年后的疫情下居然也让人产生了奇妙的共鸣。扣掉一星是因为我觉得每个演员分饰很多角色这件事容易影响观剧感受，虽然看得出来每个人的每个角色已经尽量有明显的区别，但还是偶尔会跳戏。太想现场看音乐剧了，那种体验是看任何电影和电视剧都给不了的
最感动的几个moment和唱段。他们铺起毯子开始祷告的一段。👮飞行员的唱段，Me and the Sky - Suddenly there's nothing in between me and the sky. ✈️ 返程飞机上的唱段，Somewhere in the middle of nowhere, you've found your heart and left a part of you behind. 💦 分别的唱段，Something’s missing. 👨🌾 岛民最后的唱段，Tonight we honor what was lost, but we also commemorate what we found.
题材很吸引人，从音乐剧的角度来说既没有抓我耳朵的歌，剧情也缺乏节奏。虽然演员都很卖力，但是有限的人数加上很小的舞台感觉局限性还是很大。
