The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 把经典黑白电影修复重映当然是好事，当片头八一制片厂的经典音乐响起时，仿佛自己穿越回了那个时代的影院。但可能黑白电影看黑白的要好些…举其中一个让我出戏的瞬间：前一秒看着唇红齿白柳妮娜抽着烟和中村说着话，下一秒鲜艳的口红就不见了…
费时费力把黑白电影转成彩色，不仅失掉了原有的美学特色，还呈现出这样的效果，希望不要有第二次了。
时代局限性太强。若不是修复上院线，几乎看不下去。“首部黑白转彩色4k修复故事片”这个意义超越了电影本身。

50年代的反特片就拍到这种水平实在不容易。虽然人物和故事情节扁平化，意识形态渗透太明显，但演员镜头感真的可圈可点，小时候看过妈妈小时候看过的小人书，就已经印象深刻了呢。
