The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 皮特好帅，查宁也挺帅hhhhh 很普通典型的搞笑爱情片，看预告就知道是什么故事了，但最近还挺想看看这种没什么营养的片子，和预料的一样

没看过原作，只是时间对得来就看了。做好看疼痛青春的准备，倒确实挺疼的，连男主人公都自嘲中二病。青春是场滑稽戏，戏眼之一就是每个人不一致的成长步调。映像风格我还挺喜欢，歌曲非常加分。以做爱开始，告白结束。如果是以前，早在青木暴怒的那里我就有些看不下去了，看来近一年半的后青春体验还是有用，直到他和小梅最后一场对手戏，我都可以同时与两人共鸣了。最后一个多余感想，做爱真好。
疑问一：中方究竟是参与了制作，还是只出了钱？观影感受——感觉心被融化，几个毛茸茸的小家伙实在太可爱，也难怪狗狗会失宠。疑惑二：美国佬到底是怎么做到让一个动画片既搞笑又温情，既有教育意义又催人泪下的？（国庆合家欢强烈推荐此片！）
首先不知道中间有个洞的萌点在哪儿。小白莫名地黑化，不知为啥非要搞个坏蛋。如果没有正邪对立，能值五星……
布拉德皮特的客串是唯二的亮点，特别是《浴火黑帮》剃刀党的经典歌曲。。。有点出戏。

菲拉萌兄妹拯救自己的种族不被灭绝的故事，电影是迪士尼的画风，但故事却有点中国式意味，搭配起来趣味性有些减少，故事还是有些偏弱，但预设的一些情节最后能圆上。
跟女儿看了十几分钟，两个人一脸懵逼，我说你看的懂嘛？我是看不懂，她说我也是，果断退出了。
比起宫崎骏那些是比不了，但是算是比较优秀的小电影了。孩子难得喜欢，我也不觉得特无聊
很可爱很舒服的剧，然后姐弟情很感人，不知道为什么，换成中文之后，一下子成了低龄片。
本来只是带娃去打发一下国庆时间，但电影效果倒是超出了预期，大人看也是有趣、愉快不拖沓的。画面色泽温暖明亮，比前一阵的宝可梦更容易让人放松舒适。翻译是亮点，本地化非常好，带点东北味儿，自带搞笑感
勉强给3星吧，看在它让我轻松度过一天国庆假期的份上。
