The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一部颇有味道的大女主动作片，动作戏很硬核，操刀过《疾速追杀》的大卫·雷奇功不可没。色彩上白布红血粉红装带来另类的美感。最重要的是女主玛丽的造型和气质中性硬朗，将女性的柔美细腻，和男性的刚毅粗犷完美结合。不再如之前《艾娃》《火药奶昔》《警醒》《门徒》之类，仅仅让主角换个性别，让女性卖胸卖腿卖身材，讨好男性审美，而是让角色真正独立坚贞。整体虽然叙事俗套简陋，但角色扎了根。
这不比杀死比尔好看多了？画风和bgm我很喜欢。

配乐、剧本、剪辑、表演、节奏，都是标准的迪士尼配方，属于合格的商业片，适合大银幕与家人一起观看的影片。中途弃剧。

迪士尼不愧是搞游乐园的，做这种话探险类的电影真是驾轻就熟。但是把园区里的“森林河流之旅”直接项目直接改编成电影，那我还真的是没想到，[捂脸][捂脸][捂脸]不愧是你爸爸……真的蛮像的……在hk玩的时候的那种感觉真的可以因为这个电影想起来……当时我就担心船要翻……
尽管很多漏洞，但是观赏过程令人愉悦；另外，这一树花开的时候，王纸点解非要爬那么高去抢女主角手里的？还有另外那几个被诅咒的武士最后也不帮忙救一救，忒狠了。
EB的角色一如既往的美貌机智勇敢，带来我一直很欣赏喜欢的wit和sarcasm，一点点与时代相关的女权主义和LGBTQ内容，小白厅又一次演了gay（我为什么要说又？）毕竟是被自己亲爹吐槽到底是不是gay的娃，别的也没啥了。
爆米花类似的电影 迪士尼魔板的 比预想中观感要好，轻松娱乐冒险片，随便看看无妨。

强森演骗子还是有点意思。虽然人设上有突破，但大体上还是强森式模板化英雄。有点像把一个本来适合Ryan reynolds或者Brad pitt或者George clooney或者Hugh jackman的角色巨石化了。
《杀死比尔》来的灵感不代表就非要跟它比。动作爽片谁看剧情啊？纯粹的视觉效果，还有纯粹的暴力，灰白木屋杀人戏、最后一场墨镜抽烟进大楼，都太爽了太酷了。短评说的没错，想表达女性主义，并不一定要在剧情上乱喊口号，重要的是电影每一处的真诚，不刻意为了迎合男性审美而露胸露腿，自然的把一个女性主角代入到动作电影中，不牵强不做作，这才是女性主义，而不是强行卖相，强行厌男，至少，《凯特》在这一点上很成功。
