The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 不是电影而是音乐剧带来的纯粹的打动。经纪人对他说的，你要一部接一部持续写下去，从你真正熟悉的写起，确是对创作者的良言。于是有了后来的吉屋出租，是逝去的朋友、造梦的纽约、倒数的时钟，是从他生命里诞生的作品。
游泳都可以在水下看到音符谱曲，这想象力真绝了。
虽然不像la la land那么全面 但是故事好很多

剥开音乐剧的壳，内核就是个三十岁焦虑的故事，不是粉丝，没有共鸣。
这么好的音乐应该在大银幕畅响，加菲演得真好！

对于歌舞片来说，歌好听，就成功80%了，加上剧情不错，人生短暂，为梦而拼
以及，最喜欢的曲子是Therapy
アニメ第22話～第26話で構成された特別編集版。
过分戏剧化，隐隐约约能看到很多好莱坞传记片的影子。但真情实感被感动，眼泪不值钱。音乐也是真好听。
能够坚持到最后的追梦者都是英雄，无论梦想是否成真。

主题和《爱乐之城》还挺相似，有优点，但都不是源自类型魅力，歌舞部分实在不太行
