During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 整部影片还没有简介精彩，可能电影实在过于冗长，完全没有神秘感和紧凑的情节。
很多剪辑破坏了延续的诗意，一股子想要拍出epic的味道，但是呢，epic的错觉其实是配乐造成的(哦，还有那些摄影）。问题是，它的配乐真的太吵了呀，感觉就没停过，如果只在一些“传说”段落出现那还尚可。所以这种所谓的史诗感在全片到处都能感觉到一点，很多时候甚至替代了语言，与五花八门的摄影和特效一起堆成了视觉奇观，我只想说：哇哦！
致献即是题跋。为哥哥撰写思念两章，用《钉子》锚定“未完成”的状态。保罗说，皮兰德娄“left without finishing”，而维托里奥又何尝不是？魂归故里烟尘入海，“作者”的身后事不会再有色彩，而“作品”却永葆鲜艳。耄耋之年回望这辉煌一生，“时间”不过是电影开头的那惊鸿一瞥，银幕上，光影之间转眼一瞬，青丝变白发。可此生太重，余烬装不下，不如就在海天之间，肆意挥洒。
虽然因为不了解意大利战后的历史和文化所以有很多梗没懂，但是影片呈现的一切都太迷人了！所有画面构图都讲究得要命，转到彩色之后更有打通任督二脉的感觉，好多细节都好好笑，在Friedrichstadt-Palast的超级巨幕场看更是极致享受了！等到上映之后要二刷！

中世纪成长公路片，妈咪用心良苦。影像是十足的A24风格。
Wow, 好久没有这种观影体验了：看到四分之三的时候我还跟乔老师说怎么还什么都看不明白，看完后四分之一突然豁然开朗，谜题解开留下无穷回味。有些情节看上去玄之又玄，其实故事不过是一场简单的关于骑士精神的试炼，如何面对自己的虚伪和懦弱，如何化解面对巨大权力时虚妄的执念。精彩！
骑士踏遍数字特效合成的荒原，群演再次穿起化妆部门出租的奇装。二十一世纪电影不再是物资贫乏的艺术，却总有人实践着那套早已被奇幻剧集掠夺而走的形象。不全是导演的问题，过时的东西总是乔装成时髦的模样。
开场事件不错，结果那一年居然直接就用字幕卡略去了，叙事大硬伤…… 主角在凡间的那一年时光对解释人物动机可以起到很大作用，至少应占据半小时篇幅，尤其结合结尾想表达的主题来看更是如此。
最终主旨也就是个成长故事
Berlinale20 Leonora addio 千里送骨灰… 钉子的故事没看懂，为何男孩一定要用钉子杀掉小女孩？这样就能独占她？什么叫“the nail fell for a purpose”?
800倍速看完后半生但求一死的高文，还挺后现代的

没烂到家，太难看了，节奏太死了。没意思，烂片浪费生命
狗狗很可爱…但是这么溜这么大的狗还不拴绳不能忍。
前1小时，皮兰德娄骨灰千辛万苦的回归，有很多引人发笑的讽刺感。无论是汽车司机的轻蔑、飞机乘客的迷信，教堂硬塞儿童棺材才愿意祷告，童言无忌说“皮兰德娄是侏儒”（也许有嘲讽他曾经是Nazi），还是最后骨灰草草装进盒子里，洒了一半也不管。这倒是激发了想去读《已故的帕斯卡尔》。后半小时不是很明白，只能感受到离开家乡的儿童的虚无感，极端又冲动地用杀人祭奠来找寻下半生的精神寄托，是个不太圆满的未完成的故事，可能是跟红与黑里的于连或者是欲望号街车类似的主题吧？管他有没有意义，可能仅仅是导演借此来送别逝者的“陪葬仪式”。
