The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 挺有深度的一部电影，尤其是圆周率之曲，真的是太棒了！
片中对数学之美的讲述和数学家对数学的信仰令人折服。但剧情平浅，好像国内的青春片。
如果在议员选举时把黑心产业链曝光就是爽剧级别，但结果是自甘被驯化，倒也算赤裸裸的现实。

这部可以8分，表面的光鲜亮丽遮盖了底层的苦难，简直就是阳光下的罪恶，巴西的“盲井”，即“贩卖”人口，还强制劳动，限制人身自由，逃不掉的。男主小男孩最后多半会称为卢卡那样的人，底层出来的更了解底层的人性、现实，只是他更有文化有头脑。
和政治挂钩让人很不适，充满了刻意的味道，为什么不能纯粹一点，只讲数学。个别细节处理也不是很自然，女演员表现比较尴尬。
