The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 非常满足的两个小时观影体验，看了一个好故事
老老实实讲故事的传记片，没有很多惊喜，不过足够流畅与自然，对于「理查德」这个人物，也挖掘到一个比较合适的程度了——承上一代磨难，启下一代希望，把自己的活得像一个又累又独断的疯子。这样的教育方式，究竟是无私，还是出于自私，影片没有去过多讨论；作为威廉姆斯家族外的旁人，我们似乎也无从去指手画脚。不过威氏姐妹在网坛20余年，除了傲人的战绩，她们始终保持着的谦逊、优雅与大气，更是让她们人气长青的重要原因。想到这点，也多少能够感到，理查德对于德智教育那份执拗的用心终有所获。
这就是所谓的美国梦的实现，我们应该善于发现米国社会核心竞争力之所在。

演的挺好，但是为什么是个摔跤吧爸爸的叙事呢？
整个过程还是续写了运动主题电影的观赏感受。回忆我的从前。那些青葱的不知所以的年月……..
他是一位平凡的父亲，也是一位伟大的“国王”！
对理查德刻画得很不丰满，以及看完之后对我毫无触动（电影中看到的，纪录片已经告诉了我），只觉得是看了一场大杂烩~ 聚焦点都在理查德身上并且我并没有从这位父亲身上产生共情，遗憾
所以没有天才，有的只是计划、努力和少许运气
