不落俗套的爱情故事，无论是从恋爱到分手再到最后的复合，都推进得很自然、不牵强，突显了爱情在现实面前所承受的压力。用狗来暗喻狗粮，指称爱情，颇有巧思。狗的死亡也暗指了爱情的死亡，又以“失物招领”APP的创立来弥合爱情，电影的英文名正是“失去和找到”。此外，电影中也隐含了原生家庭这条线，但正如里面有句台词所说的，不要什么都归之于原生家庭，其实我们还是可以用双手缔造我们的幸福的，无论是事业还是爱情。
