The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 我觉得用跨性别来作为揭开谜底的关键是很落后也很糟糕的情节构思。故事本身也讲得很不好……
居然出了第二部，本子依旧差（只是在人群中多看你了一眼，你就是凶手没跑了），也就木拓的探戈舞能凑合看看。
依然是卡司阵容大于一切的作品，麻生久美子好赞！！！
悬疑方面是真一般，有点乱七八糟的，但是有木村拓哉和麻酱的电影，怎么烂都不会烂到哪里去。这次让我惊喜的是久美子姐姐的，演技真好。上次看到她还是和麻酱合演的《桃花期》，那次是演被土狗渣男伤害的好姐姐，这次演跨性别腹黑杀人魔，都能比较好的诠释，在本片中有几个画面我还以看到了叶全真，美美哒。
再谈谈暴露的问题
难看到勉强撑过一小时后关注重点跑到一个讲跨年夜的电影在日本定档917还给我在那边新年快乐？
masami：对于客人的要求不能说做不到
之后觉得嗯，确实，这部的水平配不上这么豪华且高质量演出的演员卡司……
啊，关键的案件部分太虎头蛇尾了！结果有趣的部分只有酒店跟警方的日常，而且这部分也不如第一次的有趣。不过，还算一部比较值得一看的休闲电影，不知道会不会……第三部……？还是不要了的的好。
【2022 35】一般来说都是影视作品比文字作品更戏剧化，但东野大叔的却反过来了，电影好像拍不出小说里那样吸引人的场景。
超差的一集，内核跟龙虾刑警是一样的，但除了体现日本变态般的高级服务态度，其他的看点非常少。跟第一集相比，少了很多警察冒充店员方面的有趣桥段，推理的内容也让观众毫无参与感，又是最后时刻冒线索，警察从头到尾做无用功。总之很差，500个嫌犯的壮观迷局没有一丁点拍出来的。
有一个对立很有意思，凶手和全员男性刑警的交手，虽然本片又臭又长，但是我似乎感觉到这种对立的意义。悬疑还挺悬的，但是没啥意思。
剧本挺弱的，源于原作就不行吧⋯⋯伏笔埋得刻意。长泽雅美还是那么美。看得挺愉快，挺养眼的。打发时间可以看看。
乖乖，我就知道悬疑日影找真凶都是越是看起来像杀人凶手的往往越不是、前面先被排除掉可能性的角色常常是真凶。但是这招一直用真的很腻，尤其是这部，凶手杀人动机也太莫名其妙了简直蛇精病。一个悬疑片拍成这样它还有2个多小时，可谓又臭又长的典型案例。
大排场的无聊剧，找了很多事做让自己忍住不要中途起身。动机完全站不住脚。中村安挑了半天舞的意义???
拓：一直跳舞 从清晨到日暮
但是有的剧情确实离谱…关于酒店服务这一块有点过于疯魔化了的感觉是真的。就比如一开头的白气球哪怕离谱我也会感叹说真是好的酒店，但是后面男客人要求一定要约到一个女性甚至是非单身的女性的时候有点不适了，要约就自己上，长泽雅美这边还竟然依旧选择答应…
木村萌 配角们极尽做作之能事 剧本（估计是东野又写的破B小说）没事找事
场景设置在饭店，人物错综复杂，剧情扣人心弦，加入很多酒店的元素，剧情饱满，挺有意思
晕3D人士慎看，中间有几个镜头看得我脑袋疼。剪辑也很好地继承了前作的尿性，能多碎就多碎，比八十个老太太不间断地剁了三天三夜的饺子馅还碎😅
