The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 人物塑造和心里成长都描写出来了，世界观也讲的很明白，而且在那么多年之后技术更加成熟，特效更加耀眼，给这十几年的EVA新剧场版画了一个完美的句号。
“当时我觉得我喜欢上你了 可惜我比你先长大了”“你已经能在现实的世界而非幻想的世界站起来了”旧剧场版是拒绝敞开心扉因此拒绝人类补完，新剧场版是相信人与人之间能互相理解因此拒绝补完，现在的我和过去的我和解了，能继续前进了。对于那个年代的观众来说，这部剧场版是童年的终结。

只是看个爽绝对足够了，也别怪庵野秀明，如今不存在创作出真正好作品的土壤，只可惜没有早点结束这个系列，拧巴的价值观落脚点也算是创作者在这个烂透了时代的一种求仁得仁吧，这么想就挺好理解的。
我看不懂，但我大受震撼。
