The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 故事不新颖，画面比较细腻。想当然的被欺负，想当然的遇到恩师，想当然的获胜。
只想圣诞节靠在床上，手边有暖和的苹果汁，和喜欢的人一起看。这个世界没有人类，好像更加宁静了。即便只有一个很小的切口，也能写出很隽永很动人的故事。没有什么比真诚更难能可贵的品质。
名叫《芬奇》，实则是杰夫，为了水时长，中间插入了太多似是而非的片段，要不是这个结尾，可能就倆星，适合三倍速看完。
PS：人物特别是阿猫还挺像当年虚拟乐队Gorillaz啊。。。

技术、画面、分镜都很成熟了，但文本依旧弱鸡，请问你为什么要把中心思想像口号一样喊出来？这是广播剧，或者观众都是盲的吗？励志煽情都太生硬，以至于我当场开始怀念周星驰。主角进入广州后，有了点现实主义的清风，但导演还是不太会在喜剧片中处理苦难 （于是我又开始怀念周星驰）。另外一个问题就是插曲没用好。ending还是很高光，鼓点真的是太燃了，喜欢这一段！
“人生就像舞狮，上山下山。”“雄狮要战斗到底。”放下偏见，放下身段，放下自卑，感受这年度华语黑马带来的惊喜！今年唯二五星的国产新片，无限接近于我心中真正的中国动画的样子，至于某些人，只能对你们说：“你的偏见源于你的自卑。”如此纯粹的弘扬中国传统文化，独特的中国人文情怀和民族味道，前半段的生硬尴尬，全然转为了后半段的热血和眼泪，从开头水墨画介绍舞狮，到影片各种镜像的巧妙运用，广州本土元素的融入，五条人的音乐，唢呐、鞭炮的响起，便挺起胸膛享受着被点燃！身形灵活的舞狮，跨不上的擎天柱，最后众鼓齐鸣的那一刻，化为雄狮，飘落英雄花的那一刻，热血激昂，热泪盈眶。钢铁丛林里孤单赚钱拼命养家的瘦弱背影，是病猫还是雄狮？所有的幻想破灭后，回归现实的你，大城市忙碌打拼的你，只要心中的鼓点不灭，雄狮，便不会消失。
挺不错的，前半段节奏略奇怪，男主角色塑造感觉没起来，但其他的都挺好的，尤其是舞狮的场景做得还是蛮出彩的

想一想未来社会，有机器人收尸送终也不错。况且还是穿派克大衣、翘兰花指的机器人，又能帮你喂狗。《我是传奇》《火星救援》《荒岛余生》式的鲁滨逊孤独生存故事。只要日子里依然有书、硬盘里有片儿、有狗、有音乐和伙伴，就能不那么像末世。最有意味的一幕：杰夫发现了镜子，也第一次发现了“我自己”。

有略多尬笑
上山、下山，每个人有自己的路要走。赞电影尊重现实，没有给主角们一个因舞狮夺冠就走上光鲜未来的结局。很喜欢电影里满满的乡土文化，感情充沛的插曲，堪比实景拍摄的细腻画面，和即使明知是煽情套路也让人留下泪水的感人片段。虽然大量打工少年和留守儿童可能不会看到这部电影，但看完电影的你和我难道不会对他们更多尊重和关爱、不会懂得无论身处何种境遇，每一个个体都可以在自己的人生轨迹里创造精彩吗。中国的动画电影做出了成人和孩子都可以欣赏的好故事，很棒👍
故事太拉了，雄狮版燃野，人物薄弱，情感硬推。 优点很突出，一星给音乐，一星给色彩，一星给动作设计。 不过场景那么写实，真的不是实拍吗？实拍的话，是不是美术工作量就全在人物动作上了？

一人一机一狗，后末日时代的公路旅行。某种意义上汤姆·汉克斯又重历了一次“鲁滨逊漂流记”。然而鲁滨逊反映出人类求生的意志，芬奇却是关于赴死的平静。金门大桥入梦来，当机器人都学会逗狗了，人类还有什么放不下的呢？还岁月与地球吧...
前半段被画面惊艳到了 后半段被感动 又很热血 总之太燃了 国产动画越来越好了
有望成为超越哪吒的爆款国漫
充满粤语文化圈色彩的一部片，如果能看纯粤语版本或许会更有趣些。电影内核非常周星驰，咸鱼翻身的励志轻喜剧，剧本桥段有些刻意和陈旧的地方会令人尬住，人物塑造的篇幅分配也还值得商榷，整体完成度还是很好的。较特别的一点是，这似乎是我记忆中所有叫好国产动画电影中第一部毫无奇幻/科幻元素的，比起那些游戏cg一样的场景与战斗特效，这次的乡村和城市底层视角都做得很有质感，现实主义的风味很浓厚，值得肯定。四星。
