The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 马赫沙拉阿里演技稳啊，张驰有度，有点儿黑人Tom Hanks的意思了，这拿个男主小金人也很有希望了。至于剧情其实挺老套的，但是科技呈现和音乐审美真的是Apple水准，另单独给装修设计点赞
小品文艺电影，换成文学形式应该会是一个小短篇。全篇幅注重刻画人物的心理，虽说拍得很漂亮，但是终究限制于主题，到底还是只让人感到赞赏却不惊叹。值得称道的是男主演技，很厉害。
两星半。跟黑镜2的第二集？题材是一样的，但黑镜是反应的黑暗面，而这部却恰恰相反。正面的角度去探讨克隆人代替将死之人延续自己的生命。是有些老生常谈，但却是少有的积极和温情。而且更多的其实是男主在临死之前对生活的感悟与反省。我一直喜欢这种极简风格未来科技的调调。不过可以更短更精简一些。（这大哥男配终于拿够了准备冲男主了啊。）

好动人。苹果出品的电影拥有其广告片一样的好音乐、细腻质感、鲜活色彩和情绪特写，科技为生活带来转折。初看普普通通，突然就被回忆画面里的美好扎中心脏。如果明日即将死亡，我要如何握住这流逝的爱。又或者，流逝的只是我。

喜欢车，通讯系统，游戏机。色调和调性很苹果。内容乏善可陈，究竟有什么新内容？其实什么都没有。都已经把克隆人表现到这种程度了，难道不应该探讨一下伦理问题？就硬是回避，让电影显得很立不住脚！
结尾女主向那男主表达爱意那一幕最让我有代入感。
小成本制作的精彩电影。
没想到这几个人物的演出就完成了这样一部有内容的好电影，看的过程中就有想流泪的感觉，看到影片最后两行热泪也跟着流下来，很完美的收尾。
苹果的价值观让片子指向科技会给人带来慰藉和温暖，甚至超越伦理让人类迈进新的境界。但也许我带太悲观，我正看着科技把人类带进1984，完全无法共鸣
有点意思，最近关于死亡的主题越来越多，还都拍的不错
虽然科幻得很玄幻，但是平实的叙述，精湛的演技，冲淡了基本上不可能的科技成就，很感人。
竟然有点甜？对亲人、爱人的寄托，是生活沉重的解药，甜与苦编织的温暖毛衣，really inspirational; it's embedded in the life.但拍的异常放松、异常美，妻子的琴声是召唤，构图来源于现代西方理解的日式禅意（也许是一种圆寂观念的影射）；富有自有界限的现代诗意。
