The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 音乐的部分还是蛮喜欢的，确实没有lalaland那么有印象深刻的歌。
形式大于内容，表达方式大于故事本身。中规中矩。

看到最后才反应过来这是部传记片，在不知道故事的前提下，叙事是略微有点乱的——而且不知道为什么前面的主题是年轻艺术家的焦虑，后面又变成了反艾滋病歧视，割裂感过于明显。
get不到。正如许多人吐槽的，口水歌无法引发共鸣。
舞台剧、传记片、歌舞片的无缝结合，加菲的表演也非常动人。同时也是高潮不断的音乐盛宴。爱乐之城后最好的歌舞片。
用自传体音乐剧来演绎音乐剧作家的传记，加菲虽然唱得没那么好，但演得很加分啊，简直就是拉森。

EP.11-14 《鼓屋敷篇》
这个世界需要工程师、医生、投资人......
7.5分。电影没那么完美，但还是让我共情了。开始看得有点迷惑，看到后面才明白是主角的同名话剧讲述自己第一部音乐剧诞生和失败的过程，话剧和现实形成鲜明的对比。失败过后继续努力写下去，在功成名就的前一天突然死去，真是悲剧人生。(最后加菲那笑容让人难过……想到原型的人生……)
反观主角，难于两立真实生活（工作、朋友、恋人）和梦想（烙印DNA的音符、止不住的才华喷涌），矛盾疯狂摩擦出缤纷的音色。艺术源自生活，只是这里更应附带一句：“艺术来源于挫折”。永远无法被制作出的《Superbia》象征着年轻岁月才华最后的燃烬，唯遗憾造就究极的艺术，用来形容Jonathan再合适不过。
主角们成长的过程，夸张又卖萌的轻松剧情，无限列车前篇。
