The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 片里还有一条线是女儿夏天对感情的选择，有的时候分开还是继续都是心照不宣的。这种隐忍的留白，是成熟而不乏善感的温柔。

6/10。从剧作跟拍摄手法上来看，导演还是很有想法的，而且还是处女作，值得赞赏。缺点则在于演员的表演，以及不同片段之间的衔接可以做得更好，尤其是超现实的部分，这是亮点，但也容易被放大成为缺点。
里面好多面部特写的画风都特出戏，油腻的像十几年前的galgame，另外贯穿全片的那首音乐总让我以为是Minecraft
