The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 摄影和剪辑很加分。虽然但是，对于黑狱中的执行者没啥值得原谅的，尽管他也是个人。
导演和音乐很不错，故事到后面有点崩，让我有些昏昏欲睡。
蛮有意思的一个局.【住在酒店还要各种把家具的腿部绑上床单有点意思。】
和PTA处女作《赌城纵横》一样，几乎没有展现炫酷的赌博技巧的场面，赌博只是背景板。和保罗施拉德一贯的作品风格，创伤过往的主角，自我毁灭与救赎。监狱虐囚部分的夸张鱼眼镜头有意思，但总体完成不如《第一归正会》。奥斯卡伊萨克梳个大背头还是颇有赌神那神韵的。

男主的表演好棒，起初面无表情的赌博机器，发现小伙子去报仇丧命时候的微张的鼻翼，最后发现喜欢的人来探监时候会心一笑
玩玩牌，做做噩梦，写写回忆录，后半辈子就这样过吧。影像一如既往地冷漠疏离，只是这次疏得有点远。
很古早味的气质，施拉德老爷子一贯喜欢讲的故事
就，看到最后二三十分钟前其实都还不错，结尾拍的太空了（？就让整部电影显得有点弱智起来……
