The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 对于威尔史密斯的偏爱我想要打高分，但是剧情并不足以打动人，虽然看上去是个网球版《摔跤吧爸爸》，但是那种关于梦想和努力的元素实在太少，更多的还是表现理查德这个国王计划孩子们末来和成长的故事。
父母的言传身教很重要。「看到她们，我就知道她们会是未来的冠军。」
好故事，也多少拍出了人性的复杂，还抛出了一个很值得讨论的问题：Williams家族的成功究竟应不应该被仿效？传奇不值得推崇的原因可能恰恰是因为它是传奇。
如果剪成兩小時左右會更好。雖以黑人視角出發，但沒有全盤「黑人至上」，亦有自省在其中。傳奇背後沒有過於神化，印證成功是一步步走來。韋史密夫發揮不錯。
