The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 真实历史事件改编，虽然不太懂南非历史、种族隔离制度、为了争取自由平等所做的牺牲，但是电影本身渐入佳境，高潮处戛然而止，还是有一定冲击力，不过也有不少问题铺垫不足。
这对那个“光辉岁月”的南非，是完全必要且正确的。从对自由的孤注一掷，到斯德哥尔摩综合症化的群体共情和高呼自由，不但不是免费，而且付出的代价是一切。无论这个非典型“打劫”银行事件，是不是对南非真有这么重要，至少电影以紧凑的节奏，拍出振聋发聩的激情，让人信服它的重要性。

谁是卧底，悬念未能建立。时代氛围塑造不足。当抢银行的类型片与民族解放诉求融合，出现了类型片压倒表达的苗头。
南非也可以拍出这么有格调的电影，一切为了自由！

说教意识太强，故事太松散，道具蛮用心的，摄影服装 蛮专业的。只是不明白为啥分这么高，因为有曼德拉的政治光环？
“正义的劫持” 这类上升到国家 自由 脚铐的内容 值得加星 一个半小时节奏很紧凑的看完了
困惑期的故事看完总是觉得疲惫和无聊，看剧时内心反应也会是“这没必要、没必要”“这也是大可不必”
想着如果能了解一些也能多一些尊重
