The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 无论什么制度，最终都要靠人的良心和说真话。
可惜我们无法在中国电影里看到个人对体制的诘问。
能拍、敢拍这样的题材值得表扬，但是从艺术的角度看，拍的太过脸谱化，以至于不吸引人。
虽然有些英雄主义，但是很多时候就是需要挺身而出的一个一个倔强之人。
严格来说，本片是达不到这样高的分数的。但就题材和意义而言，它完全值得100分。印度都能拍出这样的电影了，真的大受震撼。
案件、强权、暴力、尊严、爱与正义围绕着『抗争』的核心构成明快的光
但在人心里剔除阶层歧视还有漫漫长路。
这样的题材，还拍得这么好。真是难得。
监狱里打人那段看着好揪心，就是律师好多镜头用慢动作➕配乐，就有一种英雄主义的感觉，很不喜欢
有些电影的社会意义早已大于了影片本身。
“为了维护民主，一个人必须很多次变成专制的。”多少罪行假汝之名。
不得不说，我们还未拍出这样的电影，我们在很多问题上没有勇敢的去面对，而是去掩盖真相，回避真相
由真实案件改编，有智慧的律师和有骨气的妻子，还有千万劳苦百姓。
当然，即便对本影片奉上再多的赞美之词，在如此真实、震撼、悲哀、血淋淋的历史面前都显得无力……
太致郁了……真的……身在上海的人现在只有一肚子的玻璃心，除了“偷着乐”，咱啥也不该干的。

除开现实意义外，电影本身也是相当成熟完整，各方面都做得非常棒，160分钟叙事无断层，金句很多。
印度电影看过的并不多，除去歌舞剧情还算紧凑。除了多线叙事，内容没有想象中波折起伏。主角人物塑造扁平化，大量镜头语言和BGM烘托英雄形象。横向与韩国《辩护人》比较，这部电影并没有想象中的好。但是，真人真事改编，从中可以看出印度司法改革的努力。值得推荐。
3.5，现实意义远大于艺术/商业价值。太拖沓了，每次情绪到位都被拖拖拖没了。
