The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 全程以对白推进、小成本大作为的典范。四次约会，从羞涩到深入的相互了解，情感递进如此自然和流畅，凸显文本的成熟。那种微醺和微痒，就如一只只小鹿，不断碰撞观众的内心，引起共鸣和共情。洁净简约的场景，适当的配乐，还让人倍感舒服。
后边的两次会面，在我看来有点过于把买春这件事理想化了。Thompson一厢情愿地去发掘男妓的真实身份，要和他做朋友，实在荒唐……但也许是符合这个角色，是这个天真的老古板干得出来的？和女服务员的对手戏就让我觉得太over，像过于刻意地喊出个口号。

我是大叔控所以对嫩鸭没什么感觉，艾玛·汤普森的真诚演绎为影片加分不少
事实证明再简单的剧情和场景还是可以不断挖掘出小惊喜的，两个人的内心世界通过台词不断得以展现，电影在单调的场景内也尽量控制住了节奏，让整个人物和剧情显得愈加有趣立体以及丰满。
