The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? What if we are able to design human bodies?柯南伯格思辨着一个human augmentation走向极点的未来，以情感、艺术、商业、政治的新范式点缀这个新世界。看到创作者的意志驱动身体内源的创造力进化出新的器官（自然物-->人造物），还是有眼前一亮。大多数器官改造的思辨设计停留在去人类中心的反思，此片却用艺术和宗教（人类主体性）扩展了一个更具争议的对话空间。在痛感和快感的刀锋之外，字里行间的小幽默和结尾老式性爱的拥吻得以看见导演的俏皮和幽默。

今天第五部，临近午夜、身体不适，但依然聚精会神地看完。还是牛，但略低于预期。
概念前卫，行为艺术的背景下对进化、人体和欲望的探索，但确实大可不必。还在期待些什么而电影就像突然熄火一样。
非常非常喜欢前半部分，完全多于后半部分，前半部分被带入一个新奇的世界，像生物一样的床，椅子和尸检操作台用以切割肌肤和器官成为新的性爱愉悦，想象奇绝，但后面就进化成了吃塑料。。。（？）当局掩盖吃塑料的人的进化，最后男主吃塑料感受到了新的进化。。。（？）
