The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 和姐姐对戏时通篇没有第三视角，直到最后男主离乡的列车，空荡荡的车厢，才给了姐姐在与不在的对比镜头。
故乡，姐姐，小房间。铁轨，父亲，二元站。初吻，女神，美利坚。故乡即是血地，埋葬着亲人。父子互不直视，但总有一天，父亲会沿着铁轨，借着萤火虫的微光，将儿子送往新世界，是离别也是理解。奇迹总会发生，生生不息。
依托真实新闻素材而改编，本身很好看，但后半段太依赖于闪回交代前史，叙事也不太连贯，姐姐的戏份呈现的方式有点问题。

一部流于形式的温情小品。
温情开篇，事故作为线索和悬念从始至终，村子没路走铁轨是很有力度的概念。
蛮有诚意的片子
俗俗的命题作文，以及确实不大理解后半段怎么变成了爸爸再爱我一次，早干吗去了。喜剧效果都靠朴正民自带，但真是一滴眼泪都挤不出来。
淦又被韩国人搞哭了 这个导演好细腻啊 看到中间了才恍然大悟 然后从头看一遍 朴正民除了不像个男高中生之外演得挺好的 林允儿又演了个无脑花痴 这部片的女主应该是姐姐吧 初恋完全可有可无 姐弟情 父子情 贯穿全片的车站 就是搞不懂韩国为啥80年代了还有这么杀人的铁路 可以夸的地方太多了 庆尚北道的方言好生猛
有点大意了，没有注意电影前面的明示暗示，因此到了揭开真相的时候有一点小小的惊讶，然后伴随而来的是心痛和难过，一个通过建设车站而串联起来的故事，还挺特别的
允儿演技有进步，但感觉李星民的桥段有些刻意，男主演技在线。故事有一些散。

一如既往的会运用演员的情绪，再套路化的故事也会有韩式滤镜。
