The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 还阔以，小boy来到了巴黎，拘泥于自己的出身，被条条框框束缚，当了老六还想跑，gg就对了。里面还有辱华情节，还原史实还是夹私货就不知道了。
但还是值得一看
古典文学作品改编，这段19世纪乡村文学青年在巴黎贵族圈的沉浮史，不仅精准还原了那个时代欧洲腐朽名利场的风貌，还被赋予足以震撼当下的意义。
看完才知道是改编电影，一开始以为是多兰执导才点开，看到快中间已经开始觉得不对劲了。这个电影特别像一张精致的白纸，服化很好，但是过于平淡。如果早点知道多兰只是个演员的话我真的不会看完。

溢出的配乐和剪辑倒和故事的基调很搭，刻意的轻佻也不失为成功的改编。
好的故事，今时今日依然如是，可见其经典，人类进步真缓慢。男女主的表演差了些，其它完成中规中矩。

这部电影根据巴尔扎克小说改编，男主人翁是写诗的文人形象，可出了活力以外没有资历在社会上立足，对待人和事都没有靠谱的点，傲慢，狂妄。后期在自由派正营靠写讽刺文攻击保皇党为生，小有名气后，野心欲望吞噬了他想成为诗人的初衷。可他对保皇党还存有幻想，背叛自由派，投奔保皇党派，可这是上流社会的女人想整他想出的主意。这样两边都得罪光了，遭到致命的打击。这个形象真不喜欢。

至少，影片给了一种很多人一生都无法体验的梦幻巴黎的感觉。
他从小就知道这座湖，当他进入冰冷的水中时，他不知道自己是想要洗干净还是想要去死。他在那里停留了一会，他将停止幻想，开始生活。
场景和配乐真的好华丽啊！可这剧情推动全靠旁白？？有声书？？？
人们都在追求着心中的美好，但太多的美丽事物只是丑陋的外套。
看了大多數影評都反省這片抨擊媒體道德和記者良知。其實感覺導演更多是借著「Lucien的故事」警示我們人性中「善與惡」、「慾與妒」。
幻光破灭谓之幻灭。
男主从无名到兴盛再到没落，拍得还可以，但故事本身并不怎么吸引人～
