The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 竟然有点甜？对亲人、爱人的寄托，是生活沉重的解药，甜与苦编织的温暖毛衣，really inspirational; it's embedded in the life.但拍的异常放松、异常美，妻子的琴声是召唤，构图来源于现代西方理解的日式禅意（也许是一种圆寂观念的影射）；富有自有界限的现代诗意。
生物工程技术、电子技术、信息技术和智能技术都已经进步到这样的程度，但是医学上却还是治疗不了癌症？甚至男主还要戴隐形眼镜？连近视眼都不能治疗好的？男主有时看显示屏戴框架眼镜，所以他是近视眼。
节奏很慢很慢。主要是讨论。我们需要讨论，我们需要探索。
只要是和克隆人技术有关，伦理是一个绕不开去的话题。影片的观点或许就是：替代者本身就完全是自己的DNA复制的，当本体即将死去，那么用克隆体继续生存下去是除了对自己本体不公以外，其余各方面来说都是最完美的解决方案。
雖然有無數探討克隆人的電影，但這麼純粹的探討電影真是不多見，幾次以為機構會有陰謀但沒有，致力于幫助男主與克隆人順利交接，節奏偏緩也沒有什麼新主張理念討論出現
情感的表现已经足够了 希望能有更多的伦理上的讨论

有种黑镜的既视感，但却没有黑色讽刺那种味，而是另外不知所谓的味道。
