The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 虽然是很俗的剧情但是流畅节奏也轻快。不管什么刻板印象，其实之是把抓眼的类型都放在了一起。没有什么深刻的道理，就是跟着剧情里的人一起经历。在临时同居后已经很久没看这种轻松氛围的作品了
上手一个经典故事，并进行更时髦的更新：很多的“肉”、很尽兴的彻夜狂欢、很emo的同志感受、很经典可期的“gayfron梗”以及在各大影视剧努力绽放光芒的配角们。考虑到Joel Kim Booster和杨伯文本身的喜剧功力，Andrew Ahn在《车道》就早已炮制的出色气质，还有对各种尖锐话题进行漂白粉饰性的回避，仍然感觉像张题材试水的“安全牌”，无意完成本应轻松拿捏的推陈出新。但它依然扎实，并且在骄傲月拉开大幕之时源源不断地释放热闹、活泼的能量；快投身于这个夏季，尽情地爱，真挚地面对自己；在炎热之际，唱布兰妮唱Donna。始终很欢乐，并丝毫不介意这般简单。
非常俗套的romance comedy，那又如何？异性恋爱情喜剧一样俗套，我们还不是看的很开心！

在无法选择的凌晨两点，这个流畅的故事拖着我看完，所有的情节点虽然意料之中也很有戏剧剧情的节奏，但是依然想让人看下去。期待着一种美好的感情
同志版《傲慢与偏见》，都是些老生常谈的论调，没什么深度的情感，一直在耍嘴皮子，有几个点稍微有些小浪漫。演员选的很有意思，LGBTQ种族大团结。ps：Zane也太帅了～
就。。。看了一遍感觉更多是在讲友情，这里的爱情也乏善可陈。几个亚裔的演技真的很好。

A cute reimagination of Pride and Prejudice (or shall we say a reimagination of Joe Wright's Pride and Prejudice). Love the dynamic between Howie and Noah, and the portrait of Howie's insecurity, it is way more interesting and touching than the romantic storyline.
很好看啊。评分里戾气太重了，可能还是大部分人没有出柜加上国内对待同的环境，大家都不太相信这种爱情吧，但是星期天晚上看一部这样的片子with happy ending it's really beautiful
另外很喜欢的就是 同性恋圈内种族 阶级 性别气质歧视没有被匆匆带过 一直在让人感受到那种不舒服
2.5/5 该片少数做对了的地方：1）being vulnerable is okay; 2）为亚裔男同增加了cinematic representation; 3）（浅薄地）视像化了男同社群令人窒息的种族主义与white queerness. 但这也是它令人失望的地方：批评heteronormativity时行heteronormativity之实，讽刺white queerness却无时不刻都充斥着white queerness. 批判力度还不如亚裔同志博主写得出彩的网文，2022年了还在玩把主角换成少数群体、内核却依旧陈腐的烂把戏。virtue signaling, queer-baiting content at its finest…（Bowen请好好挑剧本…

什么简奥斯汀 我觉得大大小小的问题到处都是 但多少触及了一点性向族裔和自我认同的症结 傲慢与偏见的模版让这个比较尖锐的议题柔和了不少 但也牺牲了一些更深入的探讨 但无论如何这个题材的片子能逐渐脱离白人男性（年轻的，壮硕的，帅气的，上很多床的）的叙事主体我必然是鼓掌叫好的
是男同的故事而不是耽美，更接近真实的LGBT🏳️🌈群体，故事结局是可以预想到的he，两个好闺蜜都找到了自己的真爱（rich and hot），整体节奏很欢乐轻松搞笑，一些gay community里的笑话虽然get不到但不妨碍跟着一起笑，在骄傲月🌈上映很合适，会很能在同志群体里得到共鸣，是消磨睡前时间的一个不错选择
