The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 总体上感觉，留给GTO的时间真的不多了
这是好电影，虽然总体上不如《香巴拉信使》，但是真是好电影
放在30年前做成ova可能口碑会比现在好。风格比较接近于安彦的巨神高克，微妙的童话风的故事。相较于原作tv其实也就是纯扩写了。没有新的胶，NT要素也并不多，口碑相对差也可以理解。不过个人看了还是挺开心的

孩子们可爱，战斗流畅，主题曲好听，喜欢这情怀牌，UC再多出点
灿烂的阳光，雄伟的青山，质朴的人民，还有孩子天真的笑脸，这些都包含着强烈的渴望——“知识改变命运”。
很久没看过这么温情的片子了，藏区支教确实需要很大的勇气和真正想着孩子们和为了教育事业无私奉献的心。藏区的孩子们善良、淳朴、热情，正是因为孩子们对韩老师的尊敬、爱才让韩老师一次又一次的留了下来。蓝蓝的天、白白的云、青青的草地、纯洁的孩子们、唯美的爱情，我想都将是韩老师这辈子里最美的风景，最开始只想来镀金的韩老师，最终选择留在藏区教育一届又一届的学生，令人潸然泪下。当孩子们长大，一个一个的离开，这都是韩老师最不舍的又是最欣慰的。生命的意义不在于是否有一子，所有的孩子们、学生们都是老师的孩子！
还是很感动于这样的正能量，雪山擎着蓝天，青青草地上白云飘，景够美，人的善良和奉献更美。

可能是TV单集扩展的原因，1小时40分的信息量还是太低了。
故事还是很不错，只是写的太仓促，对于人物的刻画还不行，很多事情没有讲清楚例如多安和队友之间，结尾也太过于仓促，在多20分钟应该会好很多
曾经热血沸腾的时候也有过想去支教的念头，但是真的有勇气迈出这一步的人真的很少很勇敢。
也就那样吧。我就纳闷九十年代，贫困藏区的老铁们，一个个穿的溜光水滑的，这是什么平行宇宙啊？论真实程度，还不如另一部宣传电影《格萨尔藏戏》
