流放生活拍得闲适有趣，又没有冲淡该有的沧桑悲凉。依旧延续了《思悼》对儒家传统的反思，以士大夫和渔夫、官场和流放地互为表里镜像，背景又是西学东渐，既有儒道互补共生的和谐场景，又有新旧思想碰撞的焦灼困境。
励志片用歌舞的形式，尤其女主的天赋、爱好，用这一形式最合适不过。

故事到底是温情而俗套的心灵鸡汤，但拍得很流畅，主角配角演得也自然。突然静音的duet是神来之笔。
