The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 镜头语言很简单朴实，仿佛纪录片，但那种压抑窒息和无力感却贯穿全程，当然也得益于啾迪超棒的演技，向所有无私奉献的护工致敬！

一个小护理院面对初期新冠肆虐的无力，难得一部真实展现疫情一线的作品，类似于《索尔之子》近景别虚背景的拍法让中段的long nignt充满窒息感，导演和演员在表现这一段面对新冠病人时，慌乱又细心、无助又努力的矛盾拿捏相当准确。最后一幕跳脱出来没能延续前三分之二的出色，有些可惜。
大流行来临时，养老院里无助的老人真是太惨了。女主算是好心人，可凭她个人甚至救不了年轻的阿尔茨海默患者，就是初次见面那一杯茶和那晚上的冒险帮忙，两人的connection建立了，然后女主就想让他避免中招死亡，唉！来自中国的PPE，不错！
