The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 是文艺片不是科幻片，虽然设定很接近科幻一般所探讨的主题了，但导演志不在此
画面很美，音乐很棒，剧情感人。但本人从伦理上不支持克隆人代替原主人寄托情感。

Apple在这部电影里要兜售的内容太多了：生活方式、生命观念、对待记忆的态度…一切与科技息息相关，也早已超过了之前出品内容里的Apple产品覆盖。无论做产品，还是做内容，Apple最终还是在做上层建筑。
每一个镜头和布景，都那么有设计感，但又不脱离人味，科技元素也是一样的处理，很不错。相比之下，剧情不太吸引人，好在有演员的演技撑着。

对死亡的恐惧时常让人错失了好好告别的机会。科技 伦理的课题还要讨论太久，也许永远没有答案。

中间有说到之前的病人.... 我突然想到，要是最后发现他老婆也是克隆人就好玩儿了...
克隆人替代本体的道德伦理困境其实只是本片的手段，而绝非目的，电影真正关注的，应该是英年早逝的人如何体面的离开，如何让关心的人继续原来的生活。如果从这个角度切入，电影在美学和主题上就有足够的先进性了。可惜这个手段的论证明显不足，光靠男主角的表演，本片是无法称为佳作的。
