The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 世间所有不尽人意之事，全靠硬扛。接受成长，也接受所有的不欢而散。
很平静的电影。镜头非常漂亮，全程不知道该看狗还是该看人，钱老板演军人真是越演越帅，电影里他也跟军犬一样，PTSD是最万能的感情调剂药。
长达一个半小时的杰克·吉伦哈尔演技大赏，90%以上都和原版差不多的内容，人物性格和结局的人改动也让这部翻拍的可看性更加丰富，但比起原版没有那么具有真实感和融入感。
