这片子表面看上去是在反讽“素食主义者”，实际上是用屠夫视角将牲畜“拟人化”，既讽刺了素食主义者的天真幼稚偏执，又讽刺了肉食主义者的冷漠与缺乏同理心，可以说是两者皆黑了。
饮食是天然状态的还原，美味是快乐迸发的源泉。荤食也好素食也好，归根到底也就只是习惯。

改编挺大。小说主角半场之后才出现，电影一开始就卯准了。茨威格的小说大量心理描写，用镜头语言就是B博士的幻觉。
