The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. #2022 圣丹斯# 又一部改写希区柯克《后窗》的作品，但是作为悬疑惊悚片，悬念铺垫的太拖沓了，女主内心的疑虑和外部环境之间的冲突处理的太粗糙了，结局也不太符合医学逻辑，唯一的亮点是中间的一个小反转很出乎意料
现实生活到女主下车就结束了。后面就是鬼扯了。
地铁恍见包中物，氛围拉满造惊悚。
吓得腿软。狗男人要你有什么用，帮不上一点儿忙还没有同理心。

说几句关于电影的吧，节奏很好，氛围营造的也很真实，没有那么多凶杀、悬疑、追踪的噱头，女性观众可能会更感同身受一些，整体不错。
前面无声的恐惧非常压抑，最后的反杀实在是拉垮，又是一个为了概念而创作的故事，氛围大于剧情。永远相信自己听到和看到的，不要被周围人的否定搞的自我怀疑，相信自己的直觉和主观判断，同时也要保持冷静，有时候好奇并不是一件好事。
在超市里遇到跟踪狂，不往人多的地方或者收银台走，反而往里面没人的地方躲，是个什么意思？智障？
除了可惜没给丈夫一枪，那个无能的policeman，以及那个女朋友（女主邻居）丢了没事人一样的帮人半途而废的胡子渣男都该来一枪……男人永远不会共情女性，只会说你不要再疑神疑鬼，我很累，还和同事吐槽老婆。
那个老公真是又蠢又窝囊，最后一幕还没反应过来，像个傻子似的在那杵着，摊上这么个玩意真是够呛！
最后两枪把影片救回来了，不然在此之前越看越困。
明明挺有意思，却拍的这么傻逼。
作为一部惊悚片，节奏慢到我全程都在感叹公寓布局、装潢以及前半程女主还没慌时的好衣品，太多bug代入不能，首先女主连续多次发现有人偷看不告诉男主，男主不信也不拍照证明，其次男主跟警察去对面求证，回来不说都聊了啥，反而说就算是那个跟踪你的人也不能证明啥，最后为啥监视的女主，却杀了邻居？且明明是割头犯，却不割女主的头，甚至不确定她是否死了就离开，让她反杀。哦对了，也许是因为对面又有人在watch，这部剧应该叫大窗户惹的祸！
好莱坞对东欧怀有一定的恶意，到西欧度假是荷尔蒙包围，去东欧旅行就变成血浆伺候。
有新意，没有复刻类似情节中带来的那种惊悚和紧张感，而是一种群居生活中的各种信赖和不信任之间的关系上推进剧情
前期铺垫很长，一点一点积累情绪，还有一些伏笔，例如女主的职业是演员。
导演一直在努力营造环境惊悚吧，可这多余的细节和不合理的情节也太多了一些吧。到处是坑还不填，服了。
剧情设置故弄玄虚，又只能从故弄玄虚里往出找补，于是所谓内心戏，就显得意义不大了。
